Position Description
We are seeking a dynamic Solutions / Architecture professional with a solid background in engineering, operations, and architecture design within the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of hands-on experience in solution and architecture roles, and over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of contributing to large-scale technology initiatives and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.


Your future duties and responsibilities
Leadership in Solution Architecture:
• Contribute to the solution architecture function across the organization, ensuring the design and delivery of scalable, robust solutions.
• Assist in developing and implementing architecture standards and best practices for both cloud-native and hybrid systems, ensuring alignment with business goals.


Cloud Transformation & Platform Migration:
• Support cloud transformation initiatives, aiding the migration of legacy platforms to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and promoting the adoption of modern architectures.
• Help architect cloud-based enterprise payment platforms, leveraging a deep understanding of cloud observability, availability, and failover strategies.


Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
• Work within high-performance global teams, coordinating with product, operations, and sales teams to deliver comprehensive technology solutions.
• Engage closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and clients to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.


Multi-Tiered Banking Platforms:
• Assist in architecting and delivering end-to-end banking platforms, including core banking, fraud & risk management systems, payment gateways, and reconciliation systems.
• Contribute to the development of infrastructure solutions for SaaS platforms with a focus on PCI compliance, high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery.


Strategic Planning & Project Execution:
• Participate in solution sizing, estimation, and planning for various products and platforms, including cloud-based card issuing and fraud management systems.
• Assist in defining and developing roadmaps for enterprise-level projects, aligning IT strategy with business objectives.


Process Improvement & Automation:
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated services deployment frameworks, ensuring efficient and consistent delivery of cloud solutions.
• Optimize operational processes to drive cost savings, productivity, and continuous improvement.


Other Responsibilities:
• Support EMEA Infrastructure and Platform solution and architecture efforts (OnPrem and cloud).
• Mentor, lead and grow existing dedicated resources for solutions.
• Mentor and coordinate with a satellite team (team members from infrastructure disciplines like VMware, OS, Database, Kafka, K8S).
• Design for build with mindset:
o Automation first
o Create and maintain cookie-cutter templates for the costing
o Standards build and guardrails
o Developer experience mindset
• Comply with agile methodology.
• Collaborate with Global team and CIO partners as our clients to fulfill clients' needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Pre-Sales Support:
• Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to define the technical architecture and pricing models for new SaaS offerings.
• Support pre-sales activities by defining and presenting technical solutions to potential clients.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• At least 5 years of experience in solution and architecture design, with a focus on financial services and banking platforms.
• Over 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Proven track record in supporting cloud transformation initiatives, migrating legacy systems to cloud environments, and delivering multi-tiered banking solutions.
• Deep understanding of designing SaaS offerings for multiple clients.
Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Experience with card platforms, core banking platforms, fraud & risk management systems, payment gateways, reconciliation systems, and distributed systems.
• Experience in developing infrastructure solutions for SaaS platforms with a focus on security, data integrity, and isolation between tenants, PCI compliance, high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery.
Leadership & Team Management:
• Demonstrated success in working within cross-functional global teams and geographically dispersed environments.
• Experience mentoring and developing high-performance teams, establishing development plans, and improving overall team skillsets.
Strategic & Analytical Skills:
• Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on aligning technical architecture to business needs.
• Experience contributing to roadmaps for cloud services, platform migrations, and SaaS offerings.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure) or other relevant technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
