For this reason, we want to expand our team with someone who will join our colleague Matúš Šiška and become part of our Finance team at Notino, where you'll never get bored. What will you do?

  • Secure that preparation of periodic VAT returns and related reporting is done.
  • Develop and implement regular checks on accounting records to ensure transactions are reported correctly.
  • Complete tax provisions, computations, and statutory returns, and handle straightforward correspondence with external revenue bodies.
  • Perform research for improvement in a wide range of tax specialities.
  • Checks and examines data input and ERP setup to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedures.
  • Work proactively to support other tax team members or other employees in the finance department in the tax area.
  • Prepare requested documentation, provide data
  • Work with other internal stakeholders to collect the requested data for audits.
  • Cooperate with external tax advisors.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for processes or system enhancements, drive improvement initiatives, and cooperate with cross-teams where necessary.
  • Design and implement automatization and optimize tax reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce the risk of errors.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practices.
  • Respond to queries from different external and internal stakeholder in the area of their responsibility, and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Provide opinions, comments and expert advice on tax matters
  • Continuously grow your expertise and professional capability in the tax area.
  • Transfer knowledge in the tax area to peers within the Finance department or cross-company as required

What do you need?

  • 3+ years experience with corporate tax/VAT, ideally within a large international company or an SSC.
  • Knowledge of corporate VAT tax across the EU.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential for this role.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse financial data and spot irregularities.
  • A talent for identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Proactive approach and ability to adapt to changes.
  • Good command of English (at least B2) and fluency in Czech/Slovak are a must.
