We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated VMware Automation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions within our VMware environment. This role will focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, ensuring operational efficiency, security, and compliance within a private cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in VMware technologies and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Python.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain VMware automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Manage and optimize VMware technologies including vSphere, vCenter, vROps, vRA, vRO, and vSAN.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware automation and integration.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions within the private cloud environment.
• Contribute to the development of automation frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance of automated infrastructure deployments.
• Participate in agile development processes and collaborate with DevOps teams.
• Document technical processes, automation scripts, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working with VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, vROps, vRA, vRO).
• Strong experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Golang.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation best practices.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and networking concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an enterprise VMware environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VxRail.
• Kubernetes or container virtualization experience.
• Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance frameworks related to VMware environments.
• Experience in designing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
• Certification in VMware (VCP, VCAP) or relevant automation tools.
