We are seeking a skilled and motivated VMware Automation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automation solutions for our VMware infrastructure, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Your focus will be on enhancing operational efficiency, security, and compliance within a private cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in VMware technologies and hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for VMware infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Create and manage automation scripts and workflows using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Administer and optimize VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, vROps, vRA, vRO, and vSAN.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to VMware automation and system integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions in a private cloud environment.
• Contribute to automation framework development to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
• Maintain security, compliance, and governance standards for automated deployments.
• Participate in agile development workflows and coordinate with DevOps teams.
• Document automation processes, technical workflows, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working with VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, vROps, vRA, vRO).
• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Golang.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices.
• Experience working in hybrid cloud environments and knowledge of networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in enterprise VMware environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VxRail.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based virtualization.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and governance frameworks for VMware environments.
• Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
• Certifications in VMware (VCP, VCAP) or relevant automation tools.
